Mode of Action

Touchdown inhibits the EPSPS (5-enolpyruvyl-shikimate-3-phosphate synthase) enzyme, which is essential for the synthesis of aromatic amino acids in plants. Blocking this pathway disrupts protein formation, causing a gradual shutdown of plant metabolism, leading to complete weed death. The herbicide translocates throughout the plant system, including roots, ensuring long-lasting control.

Application & Dosage

• Method: Foliar spray with uniform coverage.
• Dosage for Tea: 800–1200 ml per acre in 180 L water.
